Ride Don’t Hide

Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) with support from Eye Inspire Events, with the goal to raise awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental health while raising essential funds to support mental health programs. CMHA rides will be hosted in six provinces in 35 communities with the aim to engage over 8,000 participants and raise $1,500,000.

The community event is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for riders of all ages and abilities—from novice rider to the advanced cyclist. Regardless of distance, you will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, water to fuel the journey, fans to cheer you on, and enjoy a fun day on your bike for a great cause! Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised over $572,000 since 2011 for the Leader Post Christmas Cheer Fund in support of four shelters – Sofia House, Regina Transition House, Isabel Johnson Shelter and WISH Safe House.

Eye Inspire Events is proud to partner with current Mrs. Canada Globe, Kimberly Castle of Regina, SK to bring you the 1st Annual Mrs. Canada Globe Pageant to Regina on April 2, 2016 at the Conexus Arts Centre.  Contestants from all over Canada will compete for the prestigious title and have the amazing opportunity to travel to China and represent our country at Mrs. Globe International pageant

We are very proud to announce that this years event will be a fundraiser for the SOFIA House.

The pageant will take place over two days with the preliminary judging taking place on the What Women Want main stage on Friday April 1st. Finals will be on the evening of Saturday April 2nd and is expected to be a dazzling, stylish and sophisticated evening. This is an incredible celebration of diversity and beauty with women from all across Canada vying for the crown and to be name Canada’s newest Mrs. Canada Globe 2016!

Devon Clunis was born in Harmony Vale, Jamaica and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1975 at age 11. Growing up in a diverse and sometimes challenging environment, he witnessed firsthand the social challenges faced by many groups in society. It was his desire to impact social change that led him to join the Winnipeg Police Service in 1987.

Chief Clunis was appointed Winnipeg’s 17th Chief of Police in 2012. He has ushered in an era of Crime Prevention Through Social Development, believing that providing cross cultural opportunities for social and economic equity will create a safer, healthier Winnipeg.

His leadership philosophy is “people first” and he consistently seeks to create a healthy work environment for those he is privileged to lead. He is a respected leader who believes the future of Winnipeg hinges on the creation of a culture of safety for all, and is proud to help lead in this way.

Chief Clunis is married to his wife Pearlene and has two daughters, Taylene 28 and Atira 22.

Leading Winning Teams

Ryan Walter has had a long and successful career in professional hockey, having played and coached 17 seasons and over 1100 games in the NHL. Some of his many achievements as a player included winning the coveted Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadians in 1986, and being honoured as NHL Man of the Year in 1992.  He was also a TV hockey broadcaster and recently spent 3 seasons as President of an AHL team.

Ryan is a sought after speaker, trainer and leadership coach. He has authored 5 books on leadership, and has been co-founder and president of two start-up companies.  Hundreds of companies have leveraged Ryan’s high performance history to develop their leaders, synergize their teams , and increase performance to activate change.

The 27th Annual Business Dinner presented by Greystone in support of Big Brothers of Regina has been set for October 2, 2015 at the Ramada Hotel in Regina.

This years keynote speaker will be Anthony Marquart, President of Royalty Developments Ltd, as well President of Queen City Sports & Entertainment, which last year purchased the Regina Pats Hockey Club.

The theme of the evening will revolve around how mentorship is a phenomenon that no one is immune to and how its fundamental principles are applicable to not only the youth we serve, but also the business community
